We attended a workshop at "Sunnyside" Washington Irving's home in Irvington, NY. It fit with the times. It was safe, yet, pretty. It is not cubersome, especially when in the colonial kitchen and on the grounds. The children felt free to run up and down the grassy slopes playing whether chasing the hoops, eachother or on stilts. Later, at the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, NY, the costume looked as fresh as when it was first donned in the AM.

[...] Wow! A few pulls on the dress but not worth sending back moneywise. Looks authentic from far away but up close you see the shiny fabric. :(

I think the product is priced correctly. It looks just like it is pictured, but the material is shiny satin, not a cloth-like material. It was great for my daughter's play.

My daughter needed a colonial costume for a field trip. This will work perfectly!

I bought this product for my granddaughter who is 4 and loves the American Colonial costumes even though we live in Australia. She wouldn't take it off on Christmas Day. The costume is sized for 4-6 year old but is very long. I had to take the hem up at least 6 inches but in saying that it will last her a good 2-3 years. The fabric is an easy care polyester and quite well made.
