The wings velcro to the arms of the costume, if the child prefers not to wear them. The back also has velcro to close the costume up and the best part about this costume is that it is one piece. All my son had to do was step into it, velcro up the back, attach the wings, put on his mask and he was ready to assume the role of Dragonoid.
